Here’s to Ending September

Today is the last day of September, and I am making this post to save myself from all the guilt I would feel for the following days and months, recalling the moment that I intentionally did not make any posts for this month. So here it is!

I am no longer interested in posting here because I do not find any fulfillment anymore. This space is no longer serving its purpose. It is sad because I have spent thousands of pesos to keep this running for three years already, and every year, I always feel the need to discontinue maintaining it.

I started this journey with the wrong purpose. Maybe that’s why.

So, an update about me? As if anyone is interested in reading this blog, HAHA! Well, I am still working on my dissertation. I am planning to make another page to write about my reflections on my dissertation readings, but I also plan to do it offline. I wanted to improve my writing so badly. That is why I am making some posts here, but I read this morning in an article in the Chronicle that there is a huge difference in how bloggers write blogs and researchers publish in peer-reviewed journals.

I agree.

Academic writing is far different from blogging. In my case, I am more comfortable writing blog articles, but I need a formal writing style in my job, hehe! Even in my dissertation writing, I need an academic tone in organizing my thoughts. But sometimes, these things I do in the academe are boring.

So, in the next few months, before this blog dissipates in the blogosphere, you’ll read more of my rants, my random opinions of things, my sharing about yoga, my dissertation, and the more informal side of me.

Yeah, that’s right, this is Jevannel Academy so you will learn a lot about me!

I know my life is not that interesting to others, but you are here and reading. I am sorry for wasting your precious time.

So, here’s me, the super busy me who has all the time to watch KDrama and make this random post in this blog because WHY NOT? 😀 😀 😀
