The second semester for AY 2022-2023 has just started ๐Ÿ’š I am making this post for my students and everyone preparing for the next term/semester in your uni so you can start the semester right!

1. Plot your class schedules ๐Ÿ’š

Our school has a system that allows the faculty and students to get their class schedules. It is very helpful because it gives us an overview of our week will go for 19 weeks, completing the 54-hour requirement for each course subject. 2. Buy your favorite notebook ๐Ÿ’š

This personal tip may not be tagged as NECESSARY by some, but I always do this, and it helps me every time. Aside from the happiness I feel whenever I buy a new notebook, this material also helps me organize my notes for the entire academic year.

3. Look over your course program prospectus ๐Ÿ’š

I did not know the importance of this practice until I became a program chairperson. When I was still in College, I did not care about my prospectus. When I had this job guiding students to get better grades, I realized that looking over your prospectus is a big help if you want to do advanced readings.

It gives an overview of the academic journey. You’ll know which course subjects are prerequisites for the next. It’s like one of the recipes you need to cook your future, LOL!

4. Get to know your professors ๐Ÿ’š

This tip does not mean that you should be a stalker to your professors. PLEASE DON’T DO THAT.

You should know them so you won’t be lost in your classes. You may ask about their teaching strategies and may even inquire about the references they use in your classes.

Though it is part of the class orientation, doing this gives the impression that you are interested in the subject, which might earn you a good remark.

5. Collect your book references ๐Ÿ’š

Reading your lessons in advance can help you prepare for the semester. It gives you an edge in understanding your lessons more. It also widens your knowledge about the topic you are exploring. You can read here the advantages of reading.

6. Get the right mindset ๐Ÿ’š

You are studying for a REASON. As you take your journey, many obstacles could come along the way, but if you have the RIGHT MINDSET, you will persevere.
