Our first semester has just ended. It was a roller coaster ride for me. I have struggled so much to adjust to a full online class set-up. I have handled 7 classes with 3 preparations and one that is Research in Science subject, with the course objective goal of producing a proposal manuscript. It was hard and difficult.
And I would say, frustrating.
Maybe because everything was new to me, I cannot really assess how effective I was teaching my subjects.
Before my drama starts, this post is just about sharing the things I bought and I used to help me in handling my online classes. I will still be using these things for this second semester and you might also consider buying them.
Condenser Microphone
I was using learning modules last semester, but it was never enough for me to just provide my students with the learning materials, without giving any other inputs like explanation of the contents of the module.
This is the reason why I opted to buy this condenser microphone. My laptop is no longer working efficiently, which is why I often use my desktop computer. Without built-in cam and microphone, I bought one to help me deliver my lessons.
I was using the free version of iVCAM for my PC and I wrote an article about it. #TEACHINGTOOLS: Using Your Phone Camera Instead of Laptop or Desktop Computer Webcam
Second Hand PC Computer Set

I was just helping a friend sell these units and to upgrade mine, I opted to buy one for myself. Until now, I am enjoying the great specs these units have.
Upgrade Globe Fiber Internet Subscription

I was just using my prepaid Globe Internet subscription before, but when we started our online classes as a teacher and at the same time, my online classes as a student, I opted to upgrade my Internet subscription to this Globe Fiber unlimited postpaid plan.
It was all worth it.
More to this, I also subscribed to Canva Pro for a 12-month subscription to avail of the premium features. I also got my Filmora account with lifetime subscription.
Buying these things made it easier for me to manage my time, my tasks and my life during the full shift to online and digital learning. How about you? What were your purchases for your online classes?

Really interesting!
thank you!
…a ring light 😉
Agree! But, I did not buy one for myself yet.
