PhD Update! Done with Data Collection

Finally, after three months of finding time to gather data for my dissertation, finally, I was able to get the final data I needed.

I still needed to study my statistical treatment so that I could match my readings to the results I would get.

I hope I can pull this off.

I want to finish the book this year.

I hope I can do it.

Reflection:

Getting a PhD degree while you are working full-time is challenging to manage. I am not a plain faculty member, so I have many other responsibilities besides my teaching loads. I always talk about that in this blog. I am overloaded with work, and most of the time, it leads to burnout.

This burnout is unbearable most days, making me want to quit this profession. What if I am not a teacher? Will I still be this busy and tired?

What if I will shift my career?

Do you think I can do it?

These are my thoughts these days, especially when I know I cannot be given the academic rank I aspire to get for the next three (3) years of my career. I want to apply for international scholarships but luck is not yet on my side. I already had seven rejections.

Should I insist?
